It's nice to meet you! Our business is family-owned and founded by a father (Mark) and two of his children (Alex & Gabe). Not long after our founding, our cousin Logan joined the team! Learn a little more about the founders & our team members below!
Mark Crouthamel
Co-founder & CEO
Our idea guy wears many hats. Mark is originally trained as a chef, business manager and teacher. Since college, he has taught himself the art of ice sculpting, manages a bed & breakfast with his wife, and owns Sculpted Ice Works. His dream for Pocono Axe Works started in 2019, and to finally see it come to life is almost as thrilling as the sport itself!
Alex Buente
Co-founder, Creative Director & CMO
Alex is our creative director & head of marketing, with a background in Architectural Engineering, construction management, event planning, ice manufacturing and ceramic art. Like her father Mark, she is an entrepreneur and dabbles in many industries.
Gabe Crouthamel
Co-founder & Construction Manager
A graduate of Physics at Moravian University and masters student at Lehigh University in Mechanical Engineering, Gabe has been a hands-on guy from the time his feet hit the ground. He frequently disassembles things, just to see how they work, and is often redesigning systems to function more productively.
Charlie Williams
Manager
A true axepert from before his PAW days, Charlie first found us by joining our league. He now manages our onsite business as well as trailer bookings and our current league. Honestly, we don't know what we'd do without him!
